BIG Batch #5 Ginger Snaps

Big Batch Recipe number 5 - After this batch it will be time to clean up and wash the bowl.  This is the last big recipe that will have made approximately 50 dozen cookies.  Wow.  The question will be to bake then all later or now?  or maybe do some of each!

  • 3 cups of shortening ( use 1/2 butter)
  • 4 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 8 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 8 tsp soda
  • 4 tsp ginger
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp cloves
Mix all ingredients in order and flash freeze or roll each ball in sugar and flatten with a glass bottom.  Bake 1-0 - 12 minutes at 350 degrees.
